Barbara Castañeda is a mixed media artist known for her passion for exploring all types of materials, often incorporating natural and found objects into her work. A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, Barbara earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting in 2011. Her artistic journey has led her to exhibit in Charlotte, North Carolina, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Greenville, South Carolina, where she currently resides with her husband and children.

Barbara’s work has made its way into prominent collections, including hotels, universities, banks, and corporate offices.
